- Warranties
- Our Warranty Terms
Our warranty is for repair or exchange at our discretion it does not offer or infer any financial refund (Please see Refunds and Returns) Ergomot warrants that all ErgoMot branded products (“Product”) shall conform to and perform in accordance with published technical specifications and the accompanying written materials, and shall be free of defects in materials and workmanship, for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase by the first consumer purchaser of the Product. The limited warranty extends only to the original consumer purchaser of the Product and is not assignable or transferable to any subsequent purchaser/end-user. This warranty is limited to the repair and or replacement, at Ergomots discretion, of defective or non-conforming Product, not the disassembling of the modified parts from the bike. Ergomot shall not be responsible for the failure of the Product to perform specified functions, or any other non- conformance caused by or attributable to: (i) any misapplication or misuse of the Product; (ii) failure of Customer to adhere to any of Ergomot’s specifications or instructions; (iii) neglect of, abuse of, or accident to, the Product; or (iv) any associated or complementary equipment or software not furnished by Ergomot. Limited warranty service may be obtained by delivering the Product to Ergomot or to the distributor it was purchased through and providing proof of purchase or receipt date. You will have to ask for a return authorisation number (see below for Return Instructions). The Customer agrees to insure the Product or assume the risk of loss or damage in transit, to prepay shipping charges to and from Ergomot, and to use the original shipping container or equivalent. It is essential that customers report any and all warranty issues as they arrise by mail or email(Phone calls are not sufficient) for ongoing issues it is the responsibilty of the customer not Ergomot to report any further issues within SEVEN 7 days, products that are returned to customers that are still experiencing issues must be reported to Ergomot within 14 days of receipt by the customer after this period it is agreed that the customer is happy with the product and the warranty claim will be closed out. In the case of a warranty claim even if the product is replaced the warranty is only valid from the date of original purchase and does not restart from the date of replacement. Some products contain components from various manufacturers, components other than the ErgoMot branded units and cables are warranted by the individual item manufacturer all claims must be handled by that company and following the procedures they set down. While we are happy to handle warranty issues on products purchased from us for you, you may obtain faster service by contacting the manufacturer directly.
Specific for windshields :
Every claim will be handled on an individual basis. Ergomot or its local distributor will make the determination and this decision is final. The electric motors of the windshields only have a warranty of three (3) months after delivery. The electric motors should be replaced every 10.000 kilometers or at least once a year. At each regular maintenance of the bike, the guiding rails have to be cleaned and adjusted. Damage following the fact of pour maintenance or non replacement of both electric motors will be excluded from all warranty.
Ergomot offers a one (1) year warranty on their windshields against breakage, hazing, discoloration or delaminating. All windshields are warranted in full for a period of one year from the purchase date.
If once you receive a windshield you determine that you have a manufacturing defect, you must contact the point of sale immediately under no circumstances should you install the windshield. If the windshield is installed, then all defect claims are null and void.
All windshields are shipped with adequate protection around the windshield and care is taken to minimize the possibility of any damage. However upon receipt the purchaser and or installer must examine windshield in good light and decide if there are any defects, if you are at all unhappy with the condition of the product do not install it and contact the point of sale for further instructions, installation of the product will void any damage claim.
Ergomot does not warrant the windshield against scratches as Ergomot we cannot control the care and use of the windshield.
Replacement items will only be sent once the original item is received and examined at the point of origin. Under no circumstances will advance replacements be made for shipping claim items, some electro-mechanical failure/defect claims may be handled by means of advance replacement. All items must be returned in original packaging or what would be expected to provide equal protection and sufficient to avoid any further damage.
It is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to familiarize themselves with the care and installation instructions available on the Ergomot website (www.ergomot.be)
Poor handling, over tightening or misalignment of the windshield may cause damage. Any and all damage occurring once the windshield has been installed however caused is not considered valid for a warranty claim.

Show mode: not for use on public roads. Street mode: Inform yourself about local laws. The controller is a sensitive device and can experience interfierance from CB/radio. Make sure everything is properly tuned for the least disruption. - REFUNDS AND RETURNS: WITHIN THE FIRST fourteen (14) DAYS
Ergomot reserves the right to refund or issue a 100% store credit in place of any other form of refund on any return at the discretion of the Company or it’s Owners, No refund will be issued without the company first receiving the product subject to the return at the Companies designated address as given to the Customer at the time of issuance of the return authorization. The Company will charge a restocking fee of up to 25% of the items retail price or an amount of not less than $15 whichever is greater. Absolutely no refunds will be given on items where prior disclosure of possible operational abnormalities has been disclosed unless that item has been shown to have a defect in manufacture within the first 14 days, request after this time will be treated as warranty claims and will be repaired or exchanged as per our Warranty terms. Return requests must be made within 14 days of invoice date, Items must be delivered back to the company in original, un-installed, un-opened manufacturers packaging to be eligible for return. Items not meeting this criteria cannot be sold as new again to someone else, and will be shipped back at customer’s expense. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, we do not refund shipping under any circumstances, if addition shipping charges have been incurred by the company for whatever reason those charges will also be deducted from any reefund, Items shipped to customers with free shipping will incur a minimum €17 shipping fee deducted from any refund or store credit issued. We carefully inspect and test your returned items, and determine their condition meets the above criteria, items returned as faulty will be fully tested and returned to the customer at the customers expense should they be found to be functional. Returns will not be accepted due to a customers lack of technical ability required to install, load software or perform other tasks required to enable the product to function as designed where it has been shown the majority of purchasers of the same product are able to perform such tasks. Nor will we accept returns or cancellations in cases of “buyer remorse”. Please consider all purchases carefully. A 25% restocking fee, or actual costs for “build on order” products, which ever is greater, will be charged. If you have faulty ErgoMot products falling under our terms and conditions, as you are reading now, ship them to us for repair or replacement. You will have to ask a return authorisation number with a full description of individual parts and an extensive description of the error, date and proof of purchase and date and proof of delivery, with full identity and contact details of concerned customer and of the technician who performed the installation. Goods returned without return authorisation will be stocked and a stocking fee will be due.

- Miscellaneous
- The Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and Ergomot with respect to this Web site. The Terms and Conditions supercede all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether electronic, oral or written between you and Ergomot with respect to this Web site. No modification of the Terms and Conditions shall be effective unless it is authorized by Ergomot. If any provision of the Terms and Conditions is found to be contrary to law, then such provision(s) shall be constructed in a manner to closely reflect, as much as possible, the intentions of the parties, with the other provisions remaining in full force and effect.
PAYMENT:
At the present time we use either Bank Transfert, Visa or MasterCard or PayPal account or credit card payments including discover for processing all orders,customers do not require a PayPal account in order to place an order. Payment is taken at the time of order regardless of wether the item is “IN STOCK” or “BACKORDERED”
In the event Ergomot did ship the ordered items before full payment, all goods remail property of Ergomot untill full and complete payment. Overdue invoices will result in a 1% per month penalty, with a minimum of EURO 150,-.
SHIPPING:
Ergomot will make all possible efforts to ship in stock products within 5 working days however actual delivery times may vary by location and delivery service terms and conditions. Ergomot cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage however caused after the delivery courier confirms delivery either by direct or indirect signature or by other means usually employed by the delivery company. All damage and losses must be reported to Ergomot within 24 hours of the delivery company confirming delivery. Backordered items may take up to 28 working days to arrive after ordering, in the case of backordered items this will be clearly noted on our website at the time of ordering or by email within 24 hours after ordering, customers purchasing Backordered items do so accepting that this delivery time of up to 28 working days is a condition of the sale. Ergomot reserves the right to ship orders for multiple products in several shipments and at different times.
TRANSFER:
All warranties and rights reside with the original purchaser only and are not transferable under any circumstances.
INSTALLATION OF PRODUCTS:
Installation of our products should always be conducted by Ergomot (The Company Or Its Owners) or Ergomot trained technicians, should any customer choose to attempt the installation of any of our products personally or instruct any non Ergomot trained 3rd party to conduct the installation any resulting damage however caused is completely the responsibility of the customer Ergomot (The Company Or Its Owners) cannot be held responsible in any way.
REFURBISHED PRODUCTS: All refurbished products are processed to order and this may take up to 28 working days before they are despatched.
FUNCTIONALITY: All products are designed to work at Belgian legal speeds and usage, no performance guarantee is offered or inferred as to what will or will not be possible in other countries.
VEHICLE RELATED:
All of our products are tested on the vehicle they are sold to work on by Ergomot, should an issue arise that Ergomot or it’s Owners deem Vehicle specific Ergomot and or it’s owners reserve the right to refuse return or refund at there discretion. With specific regard to the Honda GL1800 it has been established that the OEM system has an instability which may cause the system and the Ergomot unit to loose operational functionality and get scratched or even damaged, Ergomot will not accept returns or responsibility due to this occurrence.
GOVERNING LAW: In the event of litigation both parties agree that the Law of the Kindom Belgium shall apply and both parties shall consent to the jurisdiction of courts in city of Hasselt. Both parties expressly waive a trial by jury.
